Fragrance allergens: new labelling since 31 July 2026
56 additional fragrance allergens must be declared. New products must comply now.
Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 extends the list of fragrance allergens that must be named individually in the ingredient list.
- Threshold: above 0.001 % in leave-on products (perfume, mist, cream) and above 0.01 % in rinse-off products (cleansing gel).
- Since 31 July 2026, products placed on the EU market for the first time must carry the new labelling.
- Products already on the market before that date may be sold until 31 July 2028.
For a brand entering Germany or Austria now: labels must follow the new rules from day one. Ask your perfumer for a complete allergen declaration with concentrations.
